Busy Busy

Well since my last post life has been totally crazy. We have been wedding planning like crazy! It is good to get lots done...but man I am just ready to have the wedding over lol.
One of the bigger items that we finished planning last week was the wedding cake! Cameron and I were so excited about the cake lol. We are both big Reese's fans so naturally for the bottom tier of cake we did chocolate cake with peanut butter filling!! I am just so excited about it. Even better is the cake decorator told us the filling will taste like Reese's. Does it get any better than that?! Then the middle tier will be vanilla for all those that dont like chocolate or peanut butter. Finally our tier is red velvet! My favorite kind of cake! So I am pretty dang excited about the cake! I cant wait. It will be really pretty too. Very simple but still very pretty.
Along with the cake being done we had our engagements taken! I am really excited! I cant wait to get them back and see what they look like. We both got new outfits for the pictures and were looking pretty dang good if do say so myself lol. Even better is that Cameron did not complain about the kissing pictures! With the pictures done we will be able to finish our invitations and then our wedding video! More things to cross off the list.
We also bought our plane tickets to Ohio for our reception! It is nice to get this done and out of the way.
Mixed in with our crazy week Cameron and I got to have some fun! On Friday we went to the car show in Bountiful with Tyler and Kristine! It was so fun to walk around and look at all of the neat old cars and even some new modern cars! After the car show we went to dinner at Applebees! It was pretty darn good. Then after dinner went back to Tyler and Kristine's house and played the Kinect and ate Fazookies.It was a pretty dang fun night! Thanks guys!
Saturday we ran around like crazy doing engagements and then we did some Fathers Day shopping and some other errands. Then later that night we got to go and see Amberly and Joe! It was really great to see them both!
Coming up this week in the planning is our invitations and the flowers. I am excited about both! I already have everything picked out and know exactly what I want.

Happiness

This weekend was full of happy events! It was a great weekend and lots of fun. On Friday my dad my step-mom got sealed in the temple! I was so excited for them! They have been planning this now for 2 years and it finally happened on their 6th wedding anniversary. I dont remember the last time that I saw my dad as happy as he was that night. I am so excited for them to spend eternity with each other. Even though I was not able to go in to the ceremony, Cameron was and said that it was very great. Congrats to them!!
After the ceremony we went to Orange Leaf for ice cream! I love that place! It was a lot of fun to be with the whole family before they all left on vacation for 2 weeks.
As we were leaving Orange Leaf, Cameron got a call from Tim and Heather. We were so excited to go and see them and hang out for a couple hours! I got to see Heathers adorable new baby lexi and see Marchele!! It was a banner night!
Saturday was so great! I got to take my bridals! I dont have any of the pictures back yet but I have pictures of my hair! It was such a beautiful day! We went to Memory Grove, the Capitol Building, City Creek Park, and the McCuinn Mansion. We got close to 400 pictues! It all turned out so great!



Then after pictures I got to go to Amberly's bachelorette party!! It was so fun to see her and hang out one last time as single girls! I am super excited for her to get married tomorrow!!
Sunday was just a very nice calm and relaxed day. We went to church and then came home and ate dinner with my parents. Then since it was such a nice day Cameron and I hung out outside.
It was a great weekend! Great weather, great friends and great events! So much happiness!!

Road Trip

This weekend me and my family got to road trip for a wedding to Vernal! Vernal is not the most spectacular place but it was still fun to go for a drive and see my step sister Amber get married. To pass the time in the car...we took pictures to document the trip hahaha.


My parents drive a two door Toyota that is a bit cramped to fit people in the backseat. So to make the trip a bit more comfortable and enjoyable my mom rented a car! We got a super nice Jeep Cherokee! It had leather seats, a really large sunroof that came all way to the back seat area, dash cam, digital gauges on the dash, and tons of room!! It was a nice upgrade to our car lol. Even my mom said it was going to be hard to give it back at the end of the day.


My mom took over driving. Jeff drove like a crazy person and made poor Whitnee totally car sick.



Me and Whit just passin the time and being funny. I just love that girl!




We finally made it to the wedding!! We were so happy to be out of the car! After 3 hours of driving we got to stretch our legs and say hi to our family! It had been almost 3 years since I had seen my step sisters so it was really great to see them again!







The wedding was a bit red neck and was at a park in a bowery right next to the playground lol. Her dress was more of a prom dress and the groom wore slacks and a button down shirt with basketball shoes. Most of the guests wore tee-shirts and jeans. It was for sure a vernal wedding. Not quite like anything that I had ever been to lol. But, the best part was the honeymoon was at the Motel 6 right in town lol. Oh man good times!!



We caught Jeff playing at the park! lol ok just kidding. He was playing with his grandson Jayson. But we did get some time to just play at the park and visit with family.




Back on the road again and very bored! In case you have never been to Vernal this is what my view looked like most of the time.


Our last stop of the trip was to Dairy Keen in Heber! They have really great hamburgers and shakes! It was a great dinner! I love it!!



We made it!!! It was a fun trip and long but still we had fun.

Weekend Fun

I noticed that after our trip to Ohio, that Cameron and I hardly have any pictures of us together. Without pictures of us together, our wedding video is going to look pretty weird. So we have been trying to go and do fun things to have pictures of. So this weekend we went to Temple Square to see the flowers. It was sooo nice this weekend! The weather was perfect to be out and about. The flowers on Temple Square were so pretty!! They were really big too! We took a picture of Cameron’s hand next to the tulips to show just how big they were. We also stopped and enjoyed the night and people watched for awhile. After our walk and people watching we went to both visitors centers and explored and looked at all of the beautiful artwork and the fun exhibits. I had not been there in quite a long time! It was really fun!



Sunday after church and dinner we were pretty bored. We usually go and see my dad and Marilyn and hang out...however they got called to be Ma and Pa for trek this year so they were at training. I am really excited for them! I am sure that it will be tons and tons of work but they will really enjoy it. My dad has wanted to go for years. Anyway, we had to improvise on activities lol. So, to pass the time Me, Cameron and Whit jumped on the tramp. I don’t remember the last time that I jumped on the tramp. It was a blast lol. It really made me feel like a little kid. The three of us for sure got our energy out and our exercise.

OHIO

This week I got to go to Ohio to meet Cameron's parents and family. I was really excited! I am not going to lie though...I was also kind of nervous to meet my future in-laws. It is weird to show up to place and say hi I have never met you but I am marrying your son lol. But, it was a really great trip!! I love his family and cant wait to be a part of it.

Thursday we had the longest day of traveling ever lol. But we had some fun experiences in the Denver airport lol. We called it our zoo experience. We were sitting on the chairs by the window watching all of the planes and the workers. Well out of the corner of my eye I thought that I saw a bird. I told Cameron and he thought I was nuts lol. Well a few minutes later he saw them too. So we laughed about that. Well a bit later we were sitting there bored, I had my head back looking at the ceiling and I noticed that one of the birds was right over us butt first. I told Cameron that we were going to get pooped on lol. Finally it moved-and thankfully no poop. Then a half hour later we were still watching the runway and I saw rabbit. I told Cameron and again he thought I was crazy. I was like no really I promise there was a big rabbit on the runway and it was just hopping along. Well he thought me saying that was the funniest thing ever and kept making fun of me for it. Lol anyway, he finally saw it and then saw another one…there was two of them and they were big lol. Then some people got off a plane at a gate near ours and had a bunch of barking dogs lol. So we called it our zoo experience lol. Oh the things that entertains us during a 3 hour layover. Finally we made it to Ohio around midnight and still had to drive 40 minutes to get to the house. Needless to say it was a really long day.

Friday we had to be up at 6am or 4 Utah time to drive to Kirtland to see the church sites. We drove for 4 hours and got to tour all of the sites. It was really interesting and fun to see the temple and all of the church history sites. Then after the tours we went to Olive Garden for dinner! It was sooo good. I love that place. Then we drove home for another 4 hours. Then we watched part of a movie and I fell asleep on the couch.


















Saturday we got to sleep in and then we hung around the house for a bit. Cameron showed me around his parent’s property. It was sooo pretty!! He has a lake right behind the house. They own about 3 acres of land. It was so pretty there. The house was really big too. Sorry I never got pictures. But anyway it has 3 floors above ground then a full basement. It was big. But I loved it. I also loved that they made me stay on the third floor and then Cameron in the basement lol. It made me laugh. Lol. Anyway, then Cameron and I drove around Sidney and he showed me all the places in the town and his schools and the houses that he has lived in and some of the other sites to see. Then Cameron made me lunch when we got back to the house. He made me one of his famous “Cam Sam’s” it was really good! I had not had one of those for about 3 years. While I ate, Cameron’s friend Joe came over for a bit so I looked at scrapbooks with his mom while they chatted. Then we had dinner as a family. Cameron had been talking about Cincinnati Chili for months now. He told me what it was made with and how he eats it. Cameron eats it so uniquely. He puts two hotdogs in the bun on the bottom and then spaghetti noodles then the chili then cheese then mustard then oyster crackers. It was quite the dish. I didn’t eat mine quite like that but I did have the noodles then the chili and crackers and cheese. It was a very unique dish, but I can see why Cameron loves it. Even better is that is made with chocolate as the secret ingredient. After dinner me his mom and all of his sisters went to the mall and shopped. It was fun to get to know them and just have girl time. I think it was good for Cameron to have some guy time with his dad too. Then at midnight we went to waffle house and ate with one of his friends. It was an interesting place but the food was halfway decent. Lol But the drunk people were really interesting lol. Cameron said I got the full effect that way lol.

Sunday we had a big breakfast as a family. Then we all hung around the house before church. Church is a half hour drive so that was definitely different lol. I am so used to church being within walking distance. The ward was small but nice. I felt like we were on display cuz I think everyone in the ward came up to talk to us and meet me. It was fun though. And then his grandparents came to church with us too so I got to meet them. Then after church we came home and had a big dinner with his grandparents for mother’s day. It was really funny cuz Cameron told me that his grandpa really loves Oatmeal Crème Pies. So Cameron bought me a box to give to him on Sunday. So when we were sitting there his grandpa goes I need to get to know you better to see if you can really join the family. So Cameron hit my leg and said to give them to him now. So I got up and gave it to him and he got so excited and said “no questions needed, you are in and I like you lol.” It was awesome lol. Then we opened presents and then played a game. Then we watched a movie after they left and picked out which pictures to put in the wedding video and got them all organized to take with us. Then we checked ourselves in for our flight and went to bed.

Then Monday we were up at 4 am Ohio time…2 Utah time lol to be to the airport. His parents accidentally slept in and we were really late getting to the airport and then the security line was like a mile long and wound all the way down the terminal. It was bad. By the time we got to the gate they were halfway done boarding. Cameron and I hardly said anything to each other all morning and during our first flight cuz we were both so tired and ornery that we would have bit each other’s head off for no reason lol. So it was not until Denver that we really talked. Then we were late getting in the airport there and only had 20 minutes to get to our gate before it started boarding. By the time we finally got to Salt Lake, we were both so tired. We went for breakfast since we both had not eaten anything all day. The trip was really great though! I am so glad that I got to meet his family. I loved them!! I can’t wait to see them again in August!

Living the Life

Life has been pretty quiet since the proposal. I was really sick for an entire week so that took up most of my time. However, we did celebrate my step-moms birthday. It was really fun…her birthday was on a Sunday which is the day we have family dinners. So I told her that for her birthday the kids would cook her dinner and dessert. So we were in charge of dinner. We made it really simple and just had my dad BBQ hamburgers. We had fruit and chips and dip and then for dessert we had ice cream and an epic failure of a dessert…s’more brownies…yes they were made by me lol. I really can’t bake to save my life. Poor Cameron is just going to have to learn to bake, or else he will never have treats lol.

We also got to celebrate Ashlee’s graduation! I am so excited for her! That is such a huge accomplishment. To celebrate we went out for ice cream with all of us girls! I have missed hanging out with everyone! We really have such crazy lives that it’s hard to get all of us together at the same time…but we did it! It was great.

Saturday, Cameron and I were invited to color Easter eggs with Tyler and Kristine. It was so fun! I am like a kid at heart and will never grow out of coloring Easter eggs. It was really fun to hang out with them and celebrate the holiday.

The Proposal

ITS OFFICIAL!!! Im so excited!! I just love that boy!

Ok so yesterday was the last day of classes for Cameron and he asked me on Sunday if we could go to dinner to celebrate the end of semester. I said yes but that I was not free til like 7:30. He agreed to that. So on Monday he told me to pick something to do. So I had no idea anything was up. Then on Tuesday I went to pick him up around 7:30. At this point I had not eaten since 1pm and was starving! I told him that I needed food. But he said that he wanted to walk around the Bountiful temple before it was dark. I was a bit reluctant to do that without food but drove there anyway lol. Then while we were walking around temple Cameron started an argument about how to propose. He has been joking for a few weeks that he was just going to mail me the ring and I can put it on. So while we were walking I was telling him no he had to get down on one knee and propose and then put the ring on my finger. So he says "well if I was going to propose I would probably bring you here." I should have clued in but still had no idea lol. I was only thinking it was weird that he told me that since he told me the ring would not be given to me until May. So then he said if I was going to propose I would get down on one knee like this (and did it), then I would pull out a ring box like this (and did it), and ask you to marry me (and then asked). I was so suprised!! But of course I said YES!!!

I had no idea any of that was happening until he got down on one knee! He did such a great job of making it a suprise! The ring is beautiful and he picked it out all on his own! He did a really great job! I am so excited to marry Cameron on August 11th in the Bountiful Temple! It will be great!
