Living the Life

Life has been pretty quiet since the proposal. I was really sick for an entire week so that took up most of my time. However, we did celebrate my step-moms birthday. It was really fun…her birthday was on a Sunday which is the day we have family dinners. So I told her that for her birthday the kids would cook her dinner and dessert. So we were in charge of dinner. We made it really simple and just had my dad BBQ hamburgers. We had fruit and chips and dip and then for dessert we had ice cream and an epic failure of a dessert…s’more brownies…yes they were made by me lol. I really can’t bake to save my life. Poor Cameron is just going to have to learn to bake, or else he will never have treats lol.

We also got to celebrate Ashlee’s graduation! I am so excited for her! That is such a huge accomplishment. To celebrate we went out for ice cream with all of us girls! I have missed hanging out with everyone! We really have such crazy lives that it’s hard to get all of us together at the same time…but we did it! It was great.

Saturday, Cameron and I were invited to color Easter eggs with Tyler and Kristine. It was so fun! I am like a kid at heart and will never grow out of coloring Easter eggs. It was really fun to hang out with them and celebrate the holiday.

The Proposal

ITS OFFICIAL!!! Im so excited!! I just love that boy!

Ok so yesterday was the last day of classes for Cameron and he asked me on Sunday if we could go to dinner to celebrate the end of semester. I said yes but that I was not free til like 7:30. He agreed to that. So on Monday he told me to pick something to do. So I had no idea anything was up. Then on Tuesday I went to pick him up around 7:30. At this point I had not eaten since 1pm and was starving! I told him that I needed food. But he said that he wanted to walk around the Bountiful temple before it was dark. I was a bit reluctant to do that without food but drove there anyway lol. Then while we were walking around temple Cameron started an argument about how to propose. He has been joking for a few weeks that he was just going to mail me the ring and I can put it on. So while we were walking I was telling him no he had to get down on one knee and propose and then put the ring on my finger. So he says "well if I was going to propose I would probably bring you here." I should have clued in but still had no idea lol. I was only thinking it was weird that he told me that since he told me the ring would not be given to me until May. So then he said if I was going to propose I would get down on one knee like this (and did it), then I would pull out a ring box like this (and did it), and ask you to marry me (and then asked). I was so suprised!! But of course I said YES!!!

I had no idea any of that was happening until he got down on one knee! He did such a great job of making it a suprise! The ring is beautiful and he picked it out all on his own! He did a really great job! I am so excited to marry Cameron on August 11th in the Bountiful Temple! It will be great!

Accomplishments

Well this past weekend was crazy busy!! My mom and I finally got wedding plans up and rolling! Its taken forever to get started. We got a ton accomplished!! First, we booked the reception center! We are going to be having the reception at The Grand Ballroom in Bountiful. It will be so pretty! I am very excited. It was the first and only place that we looked at. We loved it so much that we booked it on the spot. Then we went and found some really cute center pieces for our tables! I am so excited! They are different than anything I had expected or been thinking of. Then we finished off my wedding dress by finding a bolero jacket to cover my strapless dress and then bought a slip to make my dress a little bit fuller. It looks so cute with a slip under it. I had never thought to use one! I am glad we did it. Then to finish off the day Cameron and I picked the honeymoon spot and the hotel. It was a very productive day for wedding plans! I really feel like we are off and rolling! I love it!

The Simple Life

Well this weekend was fairly quiet which is great. Friday we went to dinner with a bunch of friends! We went to Macaroni Grill which is my favorite! Cameron had never been there...so we had to break him in lol. It was so fun to see everyone there especially Kenzi and Sam! Its been so long since I have seen them. Even better...the food was amazing! I cant wait to go back!

Then on Saturday both Cameron and I had to work which was not so fun. But after work Cameron went to Priesthood session with my dad and brother. I was excited that he went with my dad! Then after preisthood session my whole family went to dinner. It was fun to be with everyone and eat!
Sunday was nice and relaxing! I love pj church day lol. Cameron and I went to his brothers house for dessert-Chris cooks amazing food!! We also found out that they are moving and would sell us their lease plus some of their furniture! We were excited! Its cute! Then we made dinner at my house and watched conference. Finally we finished up the weekend with a visit to my dads house.
It was pretty quiet weekend but still great! :)

Weekend Adventures

Can you tell how much fun we had this weekend??!! Cameron and I decided to go wild and crazy in a photo booth for my cousin's wedding! It was hilarious. I never seem to actually look at the camera but it was still fun! Along with being crazy in the photo booth, Cameron met my dads side of the family for the first time. He survived all of the craziness and still wants to marry me! I think that we will be doing okay. lol. However, Cameron will be meeting both my step-moms family and my moms side of the family this coming weekend! Hopefully he will stick around after that lol.

Love This Boy!!

So this weekend was really great! Cameron was so cute and suprised me with a date on Saturday. On Friday night he told me to not eat dinner tomorrow after I got work. So, I asked him what we were doing and he said that he could not tell me it was a suprise. He also told me to look for details throughout the day. During work I got text messages from different people-none from him-about where to go, when to go, what to wear, and what to do when I got there. I was told to dress nice! So when I got there, Cameron was waiting for me in a suit! How cute is that?! He made me close my eyes and then brought me in the place. When I got to open my eyes, he had set up a candlelight dinner and dessert for us! It was so cute! He even did all of the cooking! It was amazing food! Cameron can really cook! It was an amazing dinner! I just love that boy!

Life As I Know It

Can you believe it...I am finally updating! Life has been changing and moving around like crazy the past few months! Its great though!
I am still going to school at BYU, working on getting into the communications program. School is long and hard but its good-I am enjoying it.
Work is changing!! I just got a great new job for a dental insurance company in Bountiful! I will be working full time now! I am really excited. I start next week, so hopefully I will love it.
Life itself is good! My family moved from Centerville to Woods Cross in December! We are now living in a really cute house! Its great!
Well...I have a great new someone in my life! It was very unexpected but really great! His name is Cameron Cabe. We have been dating now for just over 2 months. We have known each other for 3 years! We met through Heather and her Husband Tim-Cameron was Tim's roommate. We were just friends for 3 years until December when Cameron asked me on a date. Our first date was a big one! We had a great date...had our first kiss...and became a couple that night. Yep...it was as fast as it sounds. It took both of us by surprise! But we are very happy!
